Galaxy Tab A11+ Kids Edition Comes to the US with Full Parental Controls

Samsung has taken the wraps off the Galaxy Tab A11+ Kids Edition in the US. It comes a few months after the same child-friendly version was unveiled in Australia. Essentially, it’s the regular Tab A11+ with parental controls enabled and a few kid-focused extras included.
Galaxy Tab A11+ Kids Edition comes with same hardware, with guardrails for kids
It comes with an 11-inch LCD with a 1920×1200 resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. In simple terms, it’s sharp enough for videos and reading, and it’s smoother than basic 60Hz panels when scrolling or gaming. It won’t blow you away, but it gets the job done.
You get quad speakers with Dolby Atmos, which means louder and fuller sound. Good for cartoons and YouTube, though don’t expect home theatre levels. There’s also a 3.5mm headphone jack, which is actually useful for kids who still use wired headphones.
Battery is 7,040mAh, rated for up to 15 hours of video. Realistically, expect a full day of mixed use. It supports 25W charging, so it won’t take forever to top up, but it’s not class-leading either. Storage is 128GB, and you can expand it up to 2TB via microSD.
Hardware wise, it’s pretty much same as the regular the Tab A11+, and the real differentiator is software. You get Samsung Kids and full parental controls. You can limit screen time, block apps, and control what content shows up. It actually makes sense for parents who don’t want to micromanage everything later. It’s also eligible for seven years of Android and security updates.
