Your Galaxy S24 Will Soon Get Galaxy S26’s AI Smarts

The Galaxy S26 series has now been available for a few weeks, and it comes with a bunch of exclusive Galaxy AI features. But that exclusivity won’t last, as an upcoming update will bring many, if not all, of those features to the Galaxy S24 as well.

One of the popular features of the Galaxy S26 is call screening, and we’ve previously noted that there’s no reason Samsung should keep it exclusive to newer models. Whatever made Samsung change its mind, call screening and other Galaxy AI features will be coming to the Galaxy S24 series soon.

As spotted by Tarun Vats, Samsung is internally testing a stable build for the Galaxy S24, with the build version S928BXXU5DZD9. It brings AI-powered Call Screening, Photo Assist, and Creative Studio to the Galaxy S24 series.

Of course, the real upgrade here is the Call Screening feature, which uses an AI-generated voice to handle incoming calls, asking the caller for key details before you pick up. The caller’s response is instantly transcribed on screen, giving you the option to request more information via text or jump into the call whenever you choose. You’ll likely find it more useful than expected if you get too many unsolicited calls.

As for Photo Assist, it focuses on creativity, generating AI-enhanced images from existing photos and text prompts. You can add or remove elements or even build entirely new scenes. Alongside this, Creative Studio produces AI-generated wallpapers.
