Samsung to Supply $10 Million Worth of Smartphones for Government Scheme

The devices will be procured at a total cost of ₹93.13 crore (over $10 million).

This initiative aims to modernize a government scheme for nutrition and child development across the state. Under the scheme, frontline workers will receive smartphones once every four years, so they can digitize their day-to-day responsibilities. With dedicated devices in hand, they will be able to carry out real-time monitoring, register beneficiaries on the go, and ensure consistent daily data entry into government portals.

The Galaxy A06 is a fairly basic, entry-level smartphone, and it doesn’t aim to compete with higher-end devices in terms of performance or features. However, that’s precisely what makes it suitable for a program like this.
