Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Flip 8, Galaxy Z Wide Fold Battery Units Spotted on BIS

It’s no secret that Samsung may have three foldables at the show in a few months, and some details about them have already leaked. The models in question are the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Flip 8, and Galaxy Z Wide Fold (tentative name). The third foldable seems to be the most interesting, and it may debut with a 4:3 aspect ratio.
Galaxy Z Fold 8, Flip 8, Wide Fold inch one step closer to launch
Earlier today, we spotted the batteries of all three on India’s BIS, which stands for the Bureau of Indian Standards. The batteries for the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Flip 8, and Galaxy Z Wide Fold have now been certified on BIS. If anything, this means they’ve cleared the one more step toward launch. Plus, the timing is quite in line with previous releases.

There are four more (EB-BF972DAE, EB-BF972DAY, EB-BF977DAE, and EB-BF977DAY), about which we don’t know much. These could either be test versions of the same phones with slightly different batteries, or early versions of other foldable models Samsung is experimenting with that may never be released. That’s because there isn’t any fourth model we know of.
The battery capacity and charging details of the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Flip 8, and Galaxy Z Wide Fold have leaked previously. According to those leaks, the battery capacity could be 5,000mAh for both the Z Fold 8 and the Z Wide Fold, while the Z Flip 8 will stick to 4,300mAh. Likewise, the Fold 8 and Wide Fold may support 45W charging, whereas the Flip 8 will have 25W.
In the coming weeks, more information about the foldables will come out. For now, you can take a look at their CAD renders, which somewhat reveal what the actual devices will look like.
