Samsung is still not ready with the One UI 6 Watch update for the Galaxy Watch 6, Watch 5, and Watch 4. However, users of these older models can now enjoy new watch faces from the latest One UI version. The fresh designs are available for download directly through the Galaxy Wearable app.
Install One UI 6 Watch faces on your Galaxy Watch 6 or older model
Based on Wear OS 5, One UI 6 Watch debuted with the Galaxy Watch 7 and Watch Ultra. Samsung is currently testing the new version for older models. It has been running beta programs since June but still hasn’t stabilized the platform enough for a public rollout. While it’s unclear what’s causing the delay, Galaxy Watch 6, Watch 5, and Watch 4 users have something to celebrate: new watch faces.
Samsung recently rolled out a few watch faces from One UI 6 Watch to these models. The latest update for the Galaxy Wearable app and the corresponding watch plugin brought those faces. And it’s fairly easy to download them. Open the app and go to the Watch faces menu. You should see a dismissable banner saying “Featured Watch faces” below your current watch face.
“Get new watch faces for One UI 6.0 Watch,” the description reads. Tap it to find the new faces compatible with your Galaxy Watch. We checked on a Galaxy Watch 4 and found three downloadable faces: Spatial Number, Simple Digital, and Ultra Info Board. Upon downloading, the faces are automatically placed into the group they belong to. You may need to grant some permissions to install them.
This update from Samsung instills more hope that the One UI 6 Watch rollout for the Galaxy Watch 6, Watch 5, and Watch 4 is on the horizon. Let’s not forget, that the Galaxy Watch FE will also receive this update. Hopefully, in the early days of October.
