Galaxy S24 FE Leaks Run Nonstop as Official Launch Draws Close

by | Sep 25, 2024 | Galaxy S, News

Samsung is preparing to launch the Galaxy S24 FE, which is expected as early as this Thursday. Plenty of details about this device have surfaced online ahead of its release, thanks to leaks. The company itself leaked the key specs and prices recently. The phone has now been spotted on the Google Play Console, revealing some interesting details.

Galaxy S24 FE appears on the Google Play Console before launch

Samsung’s next-gen Fan Edition (FE) “affordable flagship” is nearly ready for a global rollout. Ahead of that, the Google Play Console (GPC) listed the device along with its key specs. The Galaxy S24 FE appeared with the model number SM-S712B, which is its global version. The shows a Samsung Exynos processor with a deca-core CPU setup in four clusters.

It has one prime core running at 3.207GHz, two mid-cores at 2.900GHz, three mid-cores at 2.592GHz, and four efficiency cores at 1.959GHz. Based on these specs, it appears to be the Exynos 2400 that powered the Galaxy S24 and S24+ in some regions. However, previous leaks suggested that the FE model would feature an underclocked version of the Exynos 2400.

The so-called Exynos 2400e has been spotted with a peak speed of 3.11GHz. It’s unclear if the Google Play Console incorrectly reported the CPU speed for the Galaxy S24 FE or if things have changed lately. Thankfully, we won’t have to wait long for confirmation. The listing also shows a Samsung Xclipse 940 GPU with an unchanged clock speed of 1.095GHz.

Additionally, the GPC revealed 8GB RAM for the Galaxy S24 FE. There may also be a 12GB RAM variant this year. The device runs Android 14 out of the box. While the One UI version is not mentioned, it is speculated that Samsung will ship it with One UI 6.1 based on One UI 6.1.1. The device boasts a 6.7-inch display with a 1080×2340 pixels resolution. Stay tuned for further updates.
