FCC Certifies Galaxy S24 FE with Wi-Fi 6E & Wireless Charging

Samsung’s Galaxy S24 FE has picked up another important regulatory certification on its way to launch. The FCC recently certified the upcoming Fan Edition handset, clearing it for the US market. The listing also confirmed some of its specs. The device was previously spotted in similar regulatory listings in several other countries. Samsung plans to launch the phone in October.

Galaxy S24 FE certified by the FCC, confirming a few key specs

The FCC certified the Galaxy S24 FE with the model number SM-S721B. Interestingly, this isn’t the US version of the device but the global version. Samsung uses the identifier SM-S721U for the unit sold stateside. It’s not like the two versions differ greatly, though. They even share the same chipset, with Samsung’s Exynos processors returning to an S-series phone in the US after nearly a decade.

This regulatory listing confirms the Galaxy S24 FE will ship with Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth v5.3, NFC, GPS, and wireless charging. We can also see its battery model number (EB-BS721ABE), manufactured by the Chinese firm ATL. A Korean certification previously revealed that Samsung will also source the battery from Navitasys, an Indian manufacturer. Some battery units have the model number EB-BS721ABY.

While these listings do not reveal the battery capacity, a major leak earlier this month said the Galaxy S24 FE will pack a 4,565mAh battery. The certification agencies used the Korean firm’s EP-TA800 charging adapter while testing the device. It’s a 25W charger, likely confirming the phone’s charging speed. Samsung will ship the Galaxy S24 FE with its Exynos 2400e chipset, paired with up to 12GB of RAM.

The phone sports a 6.7-inch display offering a 120Hz refresh rate and 1,900 nits of peak brightness. It has an aluminum frame and Gorilla Glass Victus+ glass on the front and back. Cameras include a 50MP primary lens on the back, a 12MP ultrawide camera, an 8MP 3x zoom camera, and a 10MP selfie shooter — all unchanged from the S23 FE. Stay tuned for its official launch, which may happen in October.
