Google’s Upgraded Gemini AI Coming to Galaxy Devices Soon

by | Aug 14, 2024 | Galaxy AI, News

Google spent a lot of time talking about Gemini AI at its Pixel 9 launch event. The company highlighted how it integrated Gemini into Android to rebuild the assistant experience. The AI technology takes another leap forward with the new Pixels. It is smarter, faster, and more intuitive, delivering more personalized and efficient experiences. These advancements are coming to other Android devices, including the Samsung Galaxy lineup.

Google’s new Gemini AI features are coming to Samsung Galaxy

Gemini supports 45 languages and is available in over 200 countries, making it the most popular AI assistant worldwide. The upgraded version introduced with the Pixel 9 series brings more features. With Gemini Live, you can have conversations with the AI chatbot about anything. You can ask complex questions, explore new ideas, or pitch whatever’s on your mind. Gemini will offer a seamless mobile conversational experience for everything.

Gemini Live is available in English to Gemini Advanced subscribers on Android. Google plans to support more languages in the coming weeks. The latest update also makes Gemini more secure. The company says the AI tool doesn’t send your data to any third-party AI provider. Even features that require cloud processing ensure the safety of your data with Google’s secure end-to-end architecture, keeping your conversations private.

For on-device processing, Google launched Gemini Nano so your data never leaves your phone. Features like Call Notes to summarize audio from a phone call or Pixel Screenshots to save and organize your images do not require cloud processing. Your call data will stay on your phone, and you have full control over it. “No matter the task, it’s critical that your personal information is protected and private,” Google said in a press release.

Circle to Search is also getting an upgrade with Gemini. You can now instantly share the selected part of the screen with others. These Gemini AI upgrades will roll out to compatible Galaxy devices in September. Galaxy users can already swipe up from the bottom corners of the screen to bring up the AI assistant. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 also lets you bring Gemini into a multi-window, split-screen experience for multitasking. Stay tuned for more information.
