The latest update introduces Samsung Internet Browser Beta version 27.0.0.26. It adds a search function to Settings. You can now quickly find the browser setting you were looking for. Just hit the search button on the top-right corner and type out the keyword. Will will get suggestions as you type, making the task easier. It’s a unique feature not available on many other mobile web browsers.
The new version also offers end-to-end encryption for Internet-synced data. This function is only available on Galaxy devices running One UI 6.1 or higher. It adds more protection to any browser data synced across your devices, preventing unauthorized access. End-to-end encryption doesn’t allow anyone else to see your data, not even Samsung. It’s only visible to you or people who use your devices.
Alongside these functional and security enhancements, this Samsung Internet beta update removes a couple of features. Samsung no longer lets you hide the scroll bar or move its position. It’s unclear why the company decided to do away with these customization options. It’s always nice to have more options. Hopefully, Samsung has some plans, maybe for the Android 15-based One UI 7.0 update.
