Samsung Members Update Signals Nearing One UI 7.0 Beta

by | Aug 2, 2024 | News, Samsung Apps, Updates

Samsung has updated its Members app with Android 15 support. The update doesn’t seem to bring any other major change, hinting at the company’s preparation for the Android 15 rollout. It is expected to begin public beta testing of the new Android version with One UI 7.0 later this month.

Samsung updates Members app with Android 15 support

Samsung Members is a community app for Galaxy users. It is home to official community forums for all Galaxy devices, including phones, tablets, foldables, watches, earbuds, and more. Users can engage in community discussions, share tips, tricks, ideas, and feedback on Samsung products and services, and report updates and bugs. Samsung also shares important news with its customers via Members.

Additionally, the app facilitates Samsung’s sign-up processes for One UI beta programs. Galaxy users in supported countries with an eligible device can register for beta programs through the app. It will be no different this year. Samsung Members will let users register for the Android 15-based One UI 7.0 beta when it opens later this month. Rumors say registrations will begin in the third week of August.

Ahead of that, Samsung has updated Members with Android 15 support. The new version (v5.0.02.1) isn’t available widely yet but the popular APK-hosting website APKMirror has it. Since the app is expected to be functionally the same as the previous version, we wouldn’t recommend sideloading it just yet. Samsung should officially release the updated app on the Galaxy Store ahead of One UI 7.0 beta.

As X user @tarunvats33 noted, Samsung added Android 14 support to Members on July 31 and released One UI 6.0 beta on August 10. So, the latest update should hit the Galaxy Store globally in a few days. But if you want to check it out early, you can download the APK from here and sideload it. Beware that apps downloaded from unofficial stores could be tampered with and introduce malware to your device.
