T-Mobile is raising prices again, with increases of up to $5 per line set to take effect on April 2, 2025. This change affects customers on many older plans, including Magenta MAX and T-Mobile ONE. The carrier has been vague about exactly who is impacted but says affected customers will receive a text message notifying them of the increase. The message reassures users that they will keep their current plan benefits and billing details, despite the price hike. T-Mobile justifies the increase by citing rising costs over the years.
In fact, it says this price hike is just a continuation of last year’s hike. It is still rolling out the changes, the company claims. An internal memo from T-Mobile’s president Jon Freier states that customers who experienced a price hike last summer will not see another one now, thankfully. The newest Go5G, Go5G Plus and Go5G Next plans remain unaffected.
T-Mobile claims its customers still save around 20% compared to AT&T and Verizon. However, any hike is an added financial burden on customers.
