4 Features You Can Expect in the One UI 7.0 Beta, According to Tipsters

by | Nov 18, 2024 | News, One UI

Samsung One UI 7.0 beta release is almost here. While the stable version may debut later, we finally know which countries will get the One UI 7.0 beta first — and which Galaxy phones could support it. The rumor mill suggests a host of new features are on the way to One UI 7.0 beta, so let’s take a closer look at each of them.

One UI 7.0 beta will introduce AI Brief, Nowbar for live notifications, improved game mode, and more features

The upcoming One UI 7.0 beta update could bring a set of new features. One such standout among the features, according to tipster @chunvn8888, is AI Brief. It could brief you about important info such as “news, messages, mails, weather, stock, health” every day. Right now, we don’t really know how it would fare against other AI-powered assistants, but it seems like one feature to keep you in the loop without having to dig through apps.

In addition, the tipster says Samsung is changing how live notifications work in One UI 7.0. So, Google Maps directions, countdown timers, and health updates on the lock screen will now appear in a new Nowbar, in a pill-shaped design.

If these weren’t enough, they also tipped there are some changes planned for the Weather widget notes that the current human interaction icon will be removed. Additionally, tipster Jukanlosreve reports that Samsung is working on a new game mode. It may use Qualcomm’s AFME 2.0 to improve gaming performance.

Why Samsung’s One UI 7.0 update is so late?

One reason Samsung might be taking longer to release the One UI 7.0 update this year could be due to how the industry — and its competition — works. For context, Apple often teases new software updates during its annual WWDC event. But it typically rolls out the latest iOS, iPadOS, or macOS updates only after its fall event, when it unveils new iPhones and other products. Could Samsung’s January release schedule be contributing to the delay in updates? Possibly.
